Site Safety Officer


We are seeking applicants for the position of
SITE SAFETY OFFICER
for immediate commencement on various sites

SITZLER are a medium sized multi disciplined construction contractor that has been operating for more than 30 years and has projects throughout NT and SA.

We are seeking Site Safety Officers who have what it takes to maintain our enviable safety record and are interested in the ongoing advancement of OH&S in every aspect of our operations.

Attributes/Skills
  • You will hold Certification in Workplace Health & Safety and have a minimum of 2 years OH&S experience in a building related role.
  • Exposure to working on large scale commercial projects would also be a distinct advantage in securing this position.
  • The objective of this role is to manage all Health & Safety issues related to construction projects and report directly to the Site Manager and SEQ Manager.
  • Knowledge of current OH&S legislation.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Highly motivated with strong organisational skills.
  • Understanding of construction materials and methods.

Responsibilities
  • Management of site safety including training, inductions, safety audits and coordination of site safety meetings, tool box meetings.
  • Ensure all contractors comply with company and Federal Safety Office safety requirements.
  • Identify any workplace risks and initiate appropriate action plans.
  • Investigate and report on any workplace related accidents & incidents.
  • Development of project safety initiatives.
  • Liaise with management and site personnel on OH&S issues and safe work practices.
